We have been sitting on some fairly big news these last few months, and we are now stoked to finally share it with you. The surf house just got a long awaited upgrade, more beds…quite a few more actually.
This summer we will be opening a second surf house that will run alongside our current surf house at Les Estagnots Beach. We have been flirting with the idea of a second house for sometime now, but it had to feel right with us, and this does.
First off, location is pretty important. We love where we currently are, the golden stretch of beaches just north from Hossegor, and we didn’t want to stray too far. Luckily we won’t have too. The second house is within walking distance from the current house, located at the famous Les Bourdaines Beach.
Secondly of course, the house had to suit our specific needs. It’s safe to say it does. Fate has taken us back to where it all began in 2017, the house where we started this journey and laid the foundations for Southwest Surf House. We will be taking back over our original home that many of you will remember from the summers of 2017, 18, and 19.

The house has since been completely renovated and frankly, if there was ever a house that wanted to be a surf house, this is the one. Its unique layout provides plenty of private rooms, dorms, and chill areas spread throughout the different levels of the house. Just like at Estagnots, the beach is walking distance, and town is a short bike ride away.
How is this going to work?
We already know the house, we know the area, and we know what’s worked for us over the years. The formula will remain exactly the same. Weeklong stays, amazing food, lots of surfing, and daily yoga. When making a reservation you will be able to choose between the Estagnots House and the Bourdaines House. There will be mix of old and new surf house crew, spread between the 2 houses, providing the good vibes and relaxed atmosphere.
Why?
Since the beginning the goal has always been to create a special experience for our guests. Now we are presented with a way to expand that experience to more like minded individuals, all whilst keeping our identity intact.
But most importantly it also presents us with an exciting opportunity; to finally have a permanent location. If all goes well this summer, we hope to be able to put our roots down and create our forever surf home. To say this would be dream come true, would be an understatement. But more to come on this later.
For now we will be busy getting everything ready to welcome you all this summer. Expect reservations for the Bourdaines house to open soon, but in the meantime heres a sneak peak of what it looks like.
