Check out is at 10am. If you need to wait later for transport thats fine too, you are welcome to hang out, but you will need to be out of your room by 10am.

  • Do I need to book the yoga?

The yoga schedule will be released on the evening before for each day. It will be written on a whiteboard in the living room, then those who are keen to join can write their names down. Most of the time its in the morning before breakfast, but will change depending on the surf and what best suits everyone.

    Do you have mats/blocks/straps?

Yes we have all of the above included in the price for each class (€10).

    What type of yoga?

It really depends on the demand and guests we have each week. Our instructor will ask everyone if they wish to work on something in particular. In general it might look like an energising vinyasa flow in the morning and/or a relaxing/restorative slow yoga in the evening to recover those sore paddling muscles.

  • Do you cater for food intolerances?

Yes we do. Our chefs are more than happy to adapt your meals for any food intolerances. Please mention this when you complete your Guest Check In (after the booking is made). Once you are here our chef will have a quick chat with you to make sure everything is clear and understood.

    Is it mainly Vegetarian?

In general most of the food we create is plant based so its very suited to vegetarians and vegans. That being said we don’t want to exclude anyone and are not afraid to cook some meat. Our chefs, who will be living with you, will find out what people are into, and adapt each week to our guests.

    What about lunch?

It didn’t make sense to include lunch in our package as everyone is usually out and about or at the beach surfing. Sometimes we will organise a group lunch at a restaurant or otherwise guests can choose to do their own thing. There are lots of great cafes/bakeries/restaurants in the area that we are more than happy to recommend. There is even a supermarket at the end of the street for those on a budget.

  • The summer months July/August are known for fun and friendly fun waves that are perfect for all levels of surfers. For the most part of the time the beaches straight out of the front of the surf house will offer the best waves for beginners all the way to advanced surfers.

June and September still provide excellent waves for beginners/intermediate surfers but there is also more of a chance of a bigger swell arriving. This being the case we will usually take all our intermediate/beginner surfers further south to more protected surf spots such as La Sud, and Santocha. There is generally always a spot for everyone to surf even in bigger swells.

  • Each day at the surf house we will create a solid schedule for the days surfing/ fun things we will be doing for that day. Everyone will then be aware of when and where most of us will be during the day. Theres never any pressure to join in on anything so if you want to do your own thing thats more than fine. Although we always recommend joining in :)

  • If you are not sure if you need lessons the best thing to do is to Request the lessons when completing your booking. This does not reserve the surf lesson, it simply triggers an email response from us to gather the necessary information from you to pass onto the local surf school. There we can further discuss if a lesson would be good for your or anyone in your group.

Note; Surf GUIDING is already included in the price. This is for Surf LESSONS.

Surf GUIDING is our experienced surf guides selecting the best time and place to surf for each session. They are then available to give valuable instructions such as the best place to wait for waves, if there are any currents/hazards, what board you should be on etc. Most of the time the Surf Guides will be in the water with you sharing waves and giving feedback.

  • A towel and suncream are probably the two main essentials. If you forget either, don’t worry we have spares. A water bottle is also recommended.

  • Absolutely. During the school holidays in particular we get a-lot of families with kids staying at the surf house. It provides a fun atmosphere that brings out the inner kid in everyone.

  • At the surf house we only use foam surfboards. Over the years we have found it to be the best for improving/fun/and safety. Foamies have come a long way over the years and if you havent had a shot on one lately we strongly you recommend you give ours a try.

If you wish to bring your own, no worries. If you would like to hire something, we recommend Marty Surf Delivery. They will even drop it off at the house and have it ready for you when you get here.
